Major events during the weekdays - Guild Wars Forums

i know that the vast majority of players my have the weekends off for the special weekend events, why do they only allow a limited time for the events? why not expand the events during the weekdays? or allow them to overlap. just curious.

probably for the reason you stated. They probably wanted(want?) to make the events special and alot of kids/adults have the weekends off so they just put the special content during the weekends.

Plus, if we had special events during the weekdays, they wouldn't be special anymore. They wouldn't even be "events" because they would be going on almost all the time!

ty for the opinions i was just curious. what about having the events overlap from saturday to tuesday so u have the vast majority during the weekend and the few during the first 2 days of the week. just an idea that prob won't change anytime soon or at all.

If we were to have events partially in the week i wouldnt want them on monday or tuesday.
Rather if(and tbh this system has been around for 5yrs and its not going to change so this is all hypothetical) they did change it I would rather have it start on a thursday and go till sunday, not start friday and go till tuesday. Idk if its just an american thing but we as americans just hate mondays+ tuesday feel like a drag

yeah the current system sucks for those of us who work weekends but have most weekdays off.
